Últimament el nom de Coralie Fargeat està en boca de tots per The Substance, que va revolucionar Cannes a la darrera edició. El seu debut va ser aquest rape & revenge híper violent i ple de sang, que reprenia el testimoni de l'escola Aja/Bustillo i Maury, aportant la seva pròpia personalitat amb un fotografia i uns plànols preciosos i una heroïna que sembla sortida d'un còmic de Metal Hurlant.
